This Ebrak regnede sixti ȝer and a strong ma(~) was and a mighty: and þis Ebrac þorugh his might and helpe of his Brutouns conquered al ff(ra)unce and wan þere so muche gold and seluer . þat whanne he com aȝen in to þis lande he made a noble citee and after his name lete calle it Ebrak after his name þat now is called Eu(er)wyk and þis king Ebrak made þe castel of maidenes þat now is called Edenburgh // þis king hadde xxti. sones and xxiij. doughtres by diu(er)se womme(~) geten . and þe sones were called as ȝe shulle here .
