and feete and caste ham in to a water and so þey were dren- ched wherfore þat wat(er) was eu(er)more called after habram aftu þe name of þe damisel þat was Estrildes doughter ; & englissh men calleth þat wat(er) Seuerne and walssh men cal- leth it habram in to þis day // And whan þis was done : Gwentolen . lete croune hir queene of þat land and gou(er)ned þe land ful wel and wisly vnto þe tyme þat Madhon hir sone þat lotryn hadde bigete oppon hire were of .xx. ʒer age þat he myghte be king . so þat þe queen regnede .xv. ʒer & þo lete she cronne hir sone and he regnede and gou(er)ned þe land wel and honurably & she went in to Cornewaile & þere she duellede al hire lifes tyme Of king Madhan how he regnede in pees al his lyf and of Menpris and of Manlyn his sones and how Menpris slough Manlyn his broþ(er) and how wolfes drowe him al to peces Capitulo Sexto :. Whanne Madhan had regned xxx.ti ʒer. he deide and lith at newe Troye and he had .ij. sones. þat on me callede Menpris and þat oþer Manlyn. and þese .ij. breþ(er)en after hir fadres deth stryuen faste for þe lande. and Menpris for en chesou(~) þat he was eldest wolde haue had al þat lond; and Manlyn wolde nouʒt soffren him so þat þey token a day of loue and of acorde // And at þis day Menpris lete quel le his broþer þorugh tresou(~) and him self afterward held þe lande and anon lete croune him king and regnede.
