Description:
|
Deeds of the Apostles: chapters thirteen and fourteen. A pen-flourished initial 'F' in blue and red ink introduces the next chapter. The disciples Paul (Saul) and Barnabas are driven out of many places by the Jewish people. The two disciples eventually come to Iconium where they again encounter persecution by the Jews and flee to Lystra. In Lystra Paul cures a lame man and the people worship them as gods. Paul and Barnabas convince them they are not gods but Jews from Antioch and Iconium turn the people of Lystra against them and they stone Paul leaving him for dead. However Paul survives and continues to preach with Barnabas. The written space is c. 207 x 133 mm in two columns.
