Description:
Gospel of John: chapters twenty and twenty-one. Mary Magdalene recognises Jesus and he tells her to go to the disciples and tell them he is risen. Jesus appear to the disciples and shows them his wounds. The disciple Thomas is not among the number and he doubts that Jesus has appeared. Jesus appears again to the disciples and asks Thomas to put his fingers into the wounds from his crucifixion and Thomas believes. A pen-flourished initial 'A' in blue and red ink introduces the next chapter. The written space is c. 207 x 133 mm in two columns.
