Description: 
Charm of the holy names, 'Ihesu crist..'. Lines 1-7 in English. The heading is quite badly damaged. Also a charm naming the apostles and evangelists. Line 5 scribal error erased with dots. $ = hole in paper extends over three lines. Line 8 onwards [+] signifies a christian cross symbol. NB carmen = chant or charm; English word = gealdor. line 11 first word could be 'virgo'. 'amen' is written again on line 23. Line 14, the 'x' in the first word may have points or dots around it. Lines 23-30 are written in a different ink and hand, are recipes written in English, as words such as 'take whitte' , 'aqua', and 'nepte' can be deciphered. The ink is very faint however, and most of it cannot be made out. The written space is c. 163 x 115 mm and the script is anglicana.
